The main objective to inspire youth to prevent gender-based violence in their lives and to increase awareness of the issues that are specific to the South Asian comunity and to amplify community capacity to respond to violence.

20 South Asian youth from the diverse South Asian community in York Region will be trained. 

The youth, Peer-Facilitators, will develop their own youth-appropriate workshops with the assistance of the project coordinator for South Asian youth in York Region. 

The peer facilitators with the assistance of members from LOTT will plan and deliver a seminar in May 1, 2010.
