In May 2008, SSN and MCOS formed the South Asian Seniors Coalition of York Region. This coalition has seniors from 17 South Asian communities in York Region.

Mission

SASCYR's mission is to develop a South Asian Seniors Centre which would:

• Provide support to positive aging,

• Advocacy of rights,

• Healthy lifestyle,

• Recreational and Cultural programs to enhance the lives of seniors in our community.
